Recruitment Genius, a newly launched online recruitment business which, with limited budgets, required a comprehensive marketing campaign which would enable positive marketing exposure quickly.
Strategy
To redefine how businesses recruit staff by challenging the recruitment agency ‘norm’. Motivating individuals to think differently about recruitment and what they need from a partner.
Action
We developed a multi-faceted approach which encompassed generating positive and wide-reaching editorial with an awards submission programme which enabled third-party endorsement to be assumed.
Having worked with Recruitment Genius for around 7 months we featured in the Financial Times three times; twice as commentary pieces and once as the ‘Recruitment Profile’ piece.
We have also met with the Recruitment Editor of the FT who is keen to feature Recruitment Genius in the future enjoying their controversial and out-of-the box thinking.
We achieved significant trade editorial with the chief executive featuring as the Recruiter Magazine Recruitment Icon at the beginning of 2011.
In addition we have, so far, won a Best Business Award (Best New Service) and developed submissions which have enabled them to be shortlisted in two OnRec (leading HR title) awards.
All of the above has significantly helped Recruitment Genius’ competitive growth strategy.
Geoff Newman, chief executive of Recruitment Genius said: “Vane Percy & Roberts helped us with a difficult problem as this was a new way to recruit, and we consequently needed to change habits and misconceptions. They also helped us understand our target audience and how we could achieve maximum exposure to generate the most bang for our bucks.”
